Surrounded by azure seas and edged with golden beaches, Bali is of course a surfer’s paradise, and if you are looking for a beach holiday then there is no better place to find it than this gorgeous island set in the middle of Indonesia.

There are no direct flights from the UK to Bali. However, there are several with a stopover. Emirates, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, Philippine Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, and Garuda Indonesia are just some of the best options.

Where to stay in Bali

Although it isn’t a large island, most of Bali’s temples and other points of interest are very far away from each other, so if you don’t want to waste a lot of time on transportation, you have to choose where to stay. Ubud is the best place if you want to be close to anything.

In Kuta and Legian, you can find some of the best cheap accommodation in Bali;

Seminyak, is a residential area southwest of Bali known for its beaches, nightlife, and good atmosphere;

In Canggu the environment is more calm than in Kuta and Seminyak, and more oriented towards cultural activities and rest;

Jimbaran, very popular area to stay in Bali is also famous for its spectacular white sand beaches;

Uluwatu, Bali best accommodations with sea views;

Nusa Dua, great choise for luxury tourism;

Sanur, if you like diving;

Bedugul is one of the quietest areas to stay in Bali;

Tulamben, if you’ve come in search of seabed to explore, this is the place.
