Discover Eze, which is one of the most picturesque villages in the region.
Eze is a medieval village perched like an eagle´s nest on a narrow rocky peak overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, between Monaco and Nice.
How to get to Eze
It´s quite easy to reach the village from Nice by public transport. There are two buses from Nice to Eze, the #82 or the #112. Don´t be mislead by taking the bus #100 which seems to pass Eze, as this bus goes to Eze-sur-mer, which is at the beach. The village is 429 metres above the Mediterranean Sea.
The bus ticket will cost you 1,50 € and it takes half-an-hour to get there. Sit on the right side of the bus, so you can enjoy beautiful views of the Mediterranean sea during a ride.
Things to do in Eze
Once you get there, you should take a small rocky path which has a splendid view of the gardens. Inside you´ll find a small Provencal village with charm and colorful window boxes, small narrow roads, stone houses, shady squares and panoramic view of the sea and cost line. The village is so beautiful and make you believe you have stumbled into a movie set!
You should definitely visit the Jardin Exotique, which has an impressive collection of cactus, plants and rare vegetation. Also offers you and impressive view of the sea and garden itself.
Entrance ticket – 6 €.
Eze Village & Exotic Botanic Garden is a perfect place to take some beautiful photos, so don´t forget to bring your camera!
